This quick and easy moist pumpkin bread is made with just three main ingredients. It’s effortless and surprisingly delicious—add chocolate chips for a rich, cozy loaf that’s perfect for fall.

Ingredients

  • 1
    box
    spice cake mix
    (example: Betty Crocker)
  • 1
    (14 ounce) can
    100% pumpkin puree
    (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1–2
    cups
    semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the entire box of spice cake mix with the canned pumpkin. Stir until the batter is evenly mixed and smooth.
  3. Fold 1 to 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the batter. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired, and bake at 350°F for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

For extra texture and flavor, add 1/2 to 3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts to the batter.
