img 7135 1I am thrilled to share today’s giveaway. I’ve been an enthusiastic fan of Bakerella for years, and when I heard she was publishing a cookbook I couldn’t wait. These delightful cake pops have captured the hearts of bakers and dessert lovers everywhere. Angie Dudley, known as Bakerella, has even demonstrated her signature cake pops for audiences on the Martha Stewart Show and for Ree Drummond at her ranch. Now her techniques and recipes are available to everyone.

Her new book, Cake Pops: Tips, Tricks, and Recipes for More Than 40 Irresistible Mini Treats, was released just a few weeks ago and quickly became a New York Times bestseller. The book tour kicks off soon, with a scheduled stop in Seattle at Williams Sonoma in Bellevue Square on Oct. 6th. It’s exciting to see a trend that started as a blog sensation find such wide recognition.

Although I expected a review copy from the publisher, I couldn’t resist and purchased my own copy the day it became available. When it arrived I was delighted—this book is truly beautiful. Each project includes clear photographs and practical tips that walk you through every step, from baking and shaping to coating and decorating. For anyone who enjoys creative baking projects, especially the kind of polished, home-crafted treats popularized by lifestyle and food personalities, this book is an essential addition to the kitchen.

As part of this celebration, I offered a signed, personalized copy of Bakerella’s Cake Pops to one lucky reader. The contest closed and I want to thank everyone who entered. It was fun to read all of the comments and favorite flavor combinations shared.

WINNING ENTRY UPDATE: In all my years of running giveaways, I’d never seen the very first entry become the winner—until now. Congratulations to Su Ling, whose entry was selected by random.org. What a surprise!

The original entry instructions asked readers to share their favorite cupcake flavor and frosting pairing or to name a favorite Bakerella cake pop from her site. Additional entries were encouraged by sharing the giveaway on Twitter and leaving a second comment with the Twitter handle. The contest deadline was Monday, Oct. 4 at 9pm PST, and the winner was chosen at random from entries with U.S. mailing addresses.

Even though the giveaway has ended, the enthusiasm for cake pops continues. If you’re new to making them, Bakerella’s book is an excellent resource: it covers basic techniques, troubleshooting tips, and a wide variety of creative designs you can adapt for parties, holidays, or everyday treats. Whether you prefer classic combinations like vanilla cake with chocolate frosting, chocolate cake with salted caramel, or more adventurous flavors, you’ll find inspiration and approachable instructions in the book.

Thanks again to everyone who participated and shared their favorite flavors. If you missed this giveaway, keep an eye out for future opportunities and consider picking up Cake Pops: Tips, Tricks, and Recipes for More Than 40 Irresistible Mini Treats for a comprehensive, beautifully photographed guide to making charming and delicious cake pops at home.
