We’re closing the week with an elegant bridal cake perfect for a summer wedding. A delicate palette of pastel mint, soft white and a whisper of blush pink creates a romantic, sophisticated look, while a subtle touch of black adds refined contrast. Swirling ruffles cascade gracefully around the tiers, flowing from one delicate rosette to the next. A sugar magnolia bloom crowns the design, adding a finishing note of timeless romance.
This beautiful cake was created by Sameen Ismail of Baked In Caked Out in Manchester, United Kingdom. It’s a design that captures hearts at first sight—meet the Mint Ruffled Rosette Cake.

Sameen Ismail of Baked In Caked Out describes her creation:
“When most people think of ruffles they picture fabric—an evening gown or a wedding dress—but to me ruffles translate into an incredibly romantic wedding cake.
Every ruffle is handcrafted from sugar paste. The main inspiration came from the sculptural ruffles seen on Vera Wang wedding gowns. To keep the composition balanced I left the top two tiers smooth and simple, allowing the ruffles to take center stage. Magnolia is one of my favorite flowers, so I finished the cake with a large Southern Magnolia bloom, complemented by sugar leaves and tiny berries.”

Undeniably gorgeous — the combination of soft tones, precise ruffles and the sculpted magnolia makes this cake both modern and romantic. The restrained top tiers balance the movement of the ruffles, while the mint hue keeps the overall look fresh and seasonal. It’s a design that would suit a refined summer celebration or an intimate outdoor wedding.
A special thank you to Sameen Ismail of Baked In Caked Out for sharing the Mint Ruffled Rosette Cake. It’s a stunning finale for the week—happy Friday!
