Chicken Ranch Tacos

My family is a little obsessed with tacos—if dinner is served in a tortilla, they’re likely to eat it. These chicken ranch tacos combine familiar favorites into an easy, crowd-pleasing meal—think of a chicken club sandwich inside a soft tortilla. Most components can be prepared ahead of time, so at dinnertime it takes only minutes to assemble. You can also set out the ingredients for a taco bar and let everyone build their own.

How to make chicken ranch tacos

Start with bite-sized pieces of cooked chicken—leftover chicken, rotisserie chicken, or grilled chicken all work well. I like grilling a batch of chicken early in the week so it’s ready for lunches and quick dinners. Layer the warm tortillas with shredded romaine, diced tomatoes, chicken, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar. Top each taco with a drizzle of ranch sauce.

For the ranch sauce, mix sour cream with ranch powder to taste. Homemade ranch powder or a store-bought packet both work; if you’re short on time you can use bottled ranch dressing instead.

These tacos aren’t traditional Mexican fare, but they’re a tasty, family-friendly way to serve familiar flavors in taco form.
